The Dreamscape Universe of An Aspiring Scribe

"One describes a tale best by telling the tale. You see? The way one describes a story, to oneself or to the world, is by telling the story. It is a balancing act and it is a dream. The more accurate the map, the more it resembles the territory. The most accurate map possible would be the territory, and thus would be perfectly accurate and perfectly useless. The tale is the map that is the territory." --Neil Gaiman, 'American Gods'

A Fun Semester

So I realize I haven't yet covered what courses I'm taking at college this semester--and I'm already approaching the end of my second week!

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 9:30-11:30 I have Survey of English Literature I (from Beowulf to Paradise Lost), followed by Ancient Greek History, which is especially exciting because it's a civilization I've never really taken the time to really learn about in-depth; plus, we're reading the ancient historians Herodotus, Thucydides, and Plutarch. I'm liking both courses so far, especially for getting the chance to read all these books I've been wanting to read for a long time.

Then, on Tuesday nights from 6:30-10:00, I have Narrative Film. We watch a movie just about every week, and then have a discussion. Lots of fun...except I'm forced to cross my fingers and hope that our shoddy, beat-up VCR doesn't hiccup and actually tapes House.

Be seeing you,
Steven

I don't know if you're checking back on this. Thanks for the effort, but for some reason the link isn't reading as a link. Also, I already found the book, so there's no need to try again or anything. Thanks, though,

Steven
