The Dreamscape Universe of An Aspiring Scribe

"One describes a tale best by telling the tale. You see? The way one describes a story, to oneself or to the world, is by telling the story. It is a balancing act and it is a dream. The more accurate the map, the more it resembles the territory. The most accurate map possible would be the territory, and thus would be perfectly accurate and perfectly useless. The tale is the map that is the territory." --Neil Gaiman, 'American Gods'

Home Again, Home Again...

Well, I just got home today from Pioneer. I'm tired, I'm exhausted, I'm dishpitted out; I also have absolutely no regrets about the whole experience. It was an amazing time, and the kids were really cool. And the speaker, a woman named Mia, was totally awesome. She brought her subject (the parable of the Prodigal Son) alive and really made it apply to modern living. I think the kids really took her message to heart.

I'm also happy to say that I was able to finish a couple sonnets--actually, a sonnet pair--while I was up. They're a bit personal, but I might post them after some polishing. I honestly have to say that I think they're my best sonnets yet. It seems that with every one I write, I get better and better.

Well, since it's been a long day this will be a short post. Now for some much-needed sleep.

Be seeing you,
Steven
